New trading cards feature transgender athletes

A new campaign has launched with the focus of combatting the continuous legislative attacks on transgender youth, young adults, and athletes. The campaign is starting with producing an old staple in American culture: trading cards. And all of them are made out of recycled copies of anti-trans legislation filed around the nation over the past year.

The first athletes to star on the trading cards are mixed-martial artist fighter Fallon Fox, pro rugby player Grace Siobhan McKenzie, high school wrestling champion Mack K. Beggs, and boxer Patricio Manuel. Their cards each feature details about the athletes’ personal stories, quotes from them, and resources so people can support trans athletes “and activate change.”
